What is Rotary?

Rotary is a service organization comprised of community leaders of various professions dedicated to humanitarian causes locally and throughout the world. Rotary International and its foundation have helped millions of people in hundreds of countries fight poverty and hunger, provide clean water, improve literacy, promote goodwill and peace, and much more.

The Rotary Club of Abilene, Club #1762 is part of District 5790 of Rotary International, Charter 46108. The Club was established on March 26, 1926, having been sponsored by The Fort Worth Rotary Club. The Club meets weekly on Fridays at 12:00 Noon at The Beehive's upstairs meeting room, 442 Cedar Street, Downtown Abilene, Texas.

Why Join Us?

There is something that all Rotary club members have in common: We take action.
As community volunteers, we reach out to neighbors in need. We build, support, and organize. We save lives. We work locally and globally.

Maybe you’ve seen a need in your own community and wondered how you could help. Maybe you want to use your professional skills to help others — or even learn new skills. Maybe you’re seeking connections with other service-minded professionals in your community or abroad.

Community service - Networking - Leadership skills - International service - Friendship - Family-friendly - Opportunities for young people. Whatever your reason, joining Rotary can help you achieve these goals, and so much more.

How Can I Join?

Rotary club members are men and women of all ages and professional backgrounds who use their talents, skills, and energy to improve the lives of people in communities at home and around the world. Each Rotary club has a unique membership process.
